How to Make the Simple Paper Sunflowers Craft
What you need:
- printable template (optional)
- pencil
- scissors
- glue
- construction paper (white, yellow, two shades of green, and black)
Step by Step Tutorial
Use our printable template or have your kids draw or trace a big circle on yellow construction paper.
Cut out the sunny shape!
Cut out a smaller circle for the sunflower’s center from black construction paper.
Glue the smaller black circle onto the big yellow one.
Now, we have our sunflower prepared!
Make cuts along the edge of the yellow circle using scissors.
Cut all around the sunflower.
Cut out a green strap for the sunflower’s stem from green construction paper.
Have kids fold a piece of green construction paper, draw a leaf shape, and cut it out to get two identical leaves.
Glue the sunflower to the top of the green stem and attach the leaves to the back.
Repeat these steps to create more sunflowers!
Prepare a white construction paper.
Cut out a wavy line from light green to create grass.
Glue the grass to the white construction paper.
Glue your beautiful sunflowers onto the grass.
All done!
Now you have a lovely field of sunflowers.
