How to Make the Elephant Handprint Art:
What you need:
- white paper square (paper or cardstock)
- pencil
- black marker
- gray crayon or marker
Step by Step Tutorial:
Start with a square piece of white paper or cardstock.

Have kids trace their hand using a pencil.

Complete the bottom part of the handprint to form a solid shape.

Flip the handprint upside down – the fingers now become the elephant’s feet and trunk!
Trace the outline with a black marker.

Draw a big floppy ear on one side of the elephant’s head. Add a tiny eye to give the elephant a friendly expression.

Outline the tail, a short curved tail in the back.

Let children colour elephant grey so it resembles the elephant in the wild.
