A Pebble and a Paintbox – Pancake Day Activities for Kids:
A Pebble and a Paintbox was born during the 1st lockdown in June 2020, inspired by my daughters love for rock painting!
I began making story stones, educational stones and keepsakes and 3 months later, it became my full time job!
They are a great way of helping your child develop various skills such as creativity, imagination and also promoting language and communication development and can be easily adjusted to suit any ability.
Story stones work mainly by being used as story telling prompts. Pick a stone out of the bag to engage your child into the world of stories!
However, there are so many other ways to use them, they can also be used in small world play, sensory or tactile play such as adding them to your child’s vehicles or dolls house, digging for treasure in sand, or using them with playdoh and sensory bases.
