Hello Everyone, I am Muskaan Jaitic. I’m pursuing my 2nd year Early Childhood Care Management And Entrepreneurship [ECCME] from Ambedkar University Delhi, Karampura Campus. One of my favourite things is to talk about Early Childhood Education. So I want to talk to all of you about a most important aspect of childhood i.e. early childhood education. I am writing my first blog ever. I hope this blog brings a constructive change in development of your child’s growth.

WHAT IS THE PARENTS ROLE IN EARLY CHILDHOOD?
●Parents have a big role in early childhood. In fact, parents are extremely important for a child and every child needs parents a lot. Children can learn a lot of things from parents.Children are good observers; they demonstrate what they observe and see at home. It is therefore very crucial as a parent that one is able to provide a conducive environment to soak up the child.
● Parents are the ones who take their children outside for exploration. They must provide a healthy growth to children in a responsible manner.
● As a parent and mentor, do not pressurise children and compare them with other children at such an early stage. Each child is special in his/her own way.Allow them to do what they want.
● The role of a parent can make a child grow very well. Parent is the only one who can complete all the needs of a child.
Now the one, who is reading this remember your childhood where parents had their own roles.
■ ROLE OF PARENTS:-
● Giving proper nutrition to the child.
● To pay attention to each and every development of the child.
● Interacting well with the child, playing with the child.
● Parents should be active listeners to their children.
● Reading to children.
● Helping children to solve problems.
● To provide a sense of safety and exposure to the child.
● Help the child to meet their peer group members.
I know every parent knows that this role is very important, but still I want to tell those who do not know about all this. And I will tell you all about this in the upcoming blog as to what is important in early childhood.
I am doing a lot of research on this phase of early childhood. I will share all my important observations & outcomes with you, which I think could be useful in the progression of your child’s growth.
Young children are inquisitive in nature Recurring questions, safe meant places to explore and creative tasks like drawing, music or building blocks provided by parents will allow children further to develop imagination and to solve problems.
Children are curious youngsters by nature Parents should be ready to support and encourage their child to ask questions, offer a safe environment where one can explore freely and imaginatively engage the child through drawing, music or by giving construction blocks. This will aid in children learning how to think imaginatively as well as create solutions.
Guidance to Healthy Lifestyles:
The essential characteristics of early childhood development are suitable diet, sleep and outdoor playing. Parents demonstrate role models in healthy eating behavior, exercise and do not spend too much time with screens. These habits bring with them physical and mental health lifelong.
The construction of social and moral values:
Children learn by observing. Parents who show kindness, honesty, and respect naturally pass these values to their children. Saying “thank you,” helping others, and sharing are all behaviours first seen and copied from parents.
Love, Support and Bonding:
Parents that provide their children with a sense of safety translate to warm hugs, a smile, and kind words. A child must have an emotional sense of security in order to explore the world. Listening to their children prepares the parents to have positive relationship with them even in their adulthood.
