As a learned and caring teacher, I have gone a long way in influencing my students.
There is one instance in mind. I had a student who initially was not audacious enough to volunteer in group activities. As a result, a gradual change was observed in the character of this child, after strictly following the strategy of encouraging and caring about him, giving the child chances to succeed, celebrating his accomplishments with him. This child with a withdrawn personality gained confidence and started socializing and showed enthusiasm toward learning.
This experience made me even more certain about being an encouraging mentor in the learning garden of my children.
By following these concepts of Froebel into your classroom, you will be able to foster effective, play-based education styles that will be beneficial to the overall growth and development of the learners in your classroom.
Not only is this method of approach best practice in early childhood education it is also an honouring of the ways of children and how they learn and develop.
