Five Year olds – Here comes more parenting!
Hey everyone! Today is the world of Five-year-old kids we’re talking about their oh-so-adorable (and occasionally annoying) habits at this remarkable age and stage.
We have gone this distance hand in hand with the wonderful twos, the 3year old moments, and the fabulous fours. So, now it is time to love the glamorous Five-Year-Olds!
The thing is that children develop at their own tempo and therefore it is no use to start worrying because your child is either slightly ahead or behind his or her peers in terms of the acquisition of a particular milestone.
Normal is WIDE in range and that includes the quirky behaviors that you might be subject to. Whether your child is not able to do something already is no big deal. And even, what, when they are not expressing one of those annoyance behaviors, oh, lucky you!
Many of our great Five-Year-Olds are off to kindergarten this year–yay!
Some of them may even be at the pre-K level already, but regardless, it is a big adventure to everyone involved. π The interest and desire to learn new skills are a very joyful experience to see first hand. Their imaginations are wild, their social life is flourishing and they are getting new ideas each day.
We have 5-Year-Olds as well, and they can try our patience as well. They will be less dependent, but they require direction and limits. It is not uncommon to exhibit such behaviors as talking back or selective hearing or even small tantrums. Remember this is all just a part of them learning to cope with the emotions that they are feeling, as well as learning to cope with the world around them.
So we mustnβt get too worried that our child is following the right path. Each of the Five-Year-Olds is the way to check out the world, as well as to speak and display themselves. Be present only to show them love, patience and loads of positive feedback.
Check back in next time and you can find more tips and tricks, and get excited about the fun (and struggles) of raising these smart little rock stars.
