Setting of Expectation of Smooth Ride
It is important to set realistic expectations with regard to how people should behave in the cars and your destination during the road trip. Set out rules and guidelines to your children before the journey begins, like wearing seat belts, talking in low tones and obeying orders. Rewards of good behavior like snacks or money to spend on souvenirs will help your children know how to behave.
- Create Regulations: Create regulations related to the seatbelts, the talking in soft tones, and the listening to instructions.
- Come up with a Reward System: Reward good behavior in some way (ex. snacks or souvenirs).
- Remain Adaptable:Â Be willing to improvise depending on how the children are feeling and the energy they might have..
Making Memories to wise up
Enjoy the experience you are having with your family and make unforgettable memories in your road trip. Also make time to give spontaneous stops and changes of direction and discover new destinations and experiences. Help your children strive to do new things and attempt new challenges. Be there and involved with your children and make them learn that family time can and should be pleasant and enjoyable.
- Set Aside Spontaneity: Don’t rush around, to stop somewhere out of interest.
- Improve Problem solving: Encourage children to experiment and take their chances.
- Be Present: Give your family one hundred percent in order to have a close connection.
